Commander Genius

Commander Genius is an app that basically lets you enjoy the adventures of Commander Keen on your Android. In fact, when you open the app for the first time you can download episodes 1, 4, and 7 of Commander Keen for free. Once you've finished the download (which shouldn't take more than five seconds), you can start playing.

All you have to check out is a screenshot of Commander Genius (or play a few seconds) to see what it's all about: essentially, Commander Keen. In other words, it's a traditional 2D platformer where you have to try to reach the end of each level. To do this, you have to fight (or dodge) the numerous enemies you come across.

Between platform phases, you can move Keen freely throughout the world. In fact, you can usually complete the levels in whatever order you want, since the game isn't lineal.

Commander Genius is an excellent way to play the great Commander Keen on Android. Plus the controls have been nicely adapted for touchscreens.
